The Dallas-Center Grimes Mustangs sent both a boys and girls team up to the Class 3A state cross country meet on Friday in Fort Dodge and the boys side produced state champions.

The DCG boys team was looking to continue its state champion reign as they have been crowned state champion the past two years. DCG took the state champion team on Friday with an overall score of 60, beating out the next closest team in Marion by two points.

Not only was the boys team crowned state champion but the DCG boys runners also produced an individual champion in senior runner Aidan Ramsey who turned in a time of 15:36, which was eight seconds faster than the runner up.

Ramsey earned his first individual state champion finish while the boys teams completed the 3-peat earning their third team state champion finish for the third consecutive year.
