Not much in the way of experience is back for first year head coach Tori Ogden and the Greene County varsity girls’ basketball team. Senior Brianna Habben returns in the post where she earned Heart of Iowa Activities Conference all-conference honors a season ago. Habben is the lone starter back and she talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about have three head coaches in three seasons. “It’s been pretty hard because you have to figure out different coaches and different coaching styles, and I know it’s been hard on the grade below mine because they have to deal with different coaching styles as well. They’ve only had three years of high school with a different head coach each year.”

The senior talks about what she’s seen in practice so far. “It’s been pretty rough, but we’re doing better than I expected. We’re a young team, but we’re getting after it, giving good effort, and we work hard.”

The Rams open the season with a girl/boy doubleheader on Monday, Nov. 29 in Ogden. Both games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The girls play at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow.
