For Panorama Panthers wrestlers their season officially began and consisted of a duals match and a tournament in their first week on the mats.

For the Panthers their season began with a duals match on December 2nd where they took on Southeast Valley, Gowrie and Manson Northwest Webster. With a team featuring quite a few underclassmen the Panthers went 1-1 in matches during the dual.

Against Manson Northwest Webster the Panthers got a victory 35-21 during the match. For Landon Kirtley he scored six points via fall, Will Knapp scored three points via decision, Cayden Van Meer, Emmett King and Laine Christe each scored six points via forfeit. Cooper Andersen earned three points via decision and Joel Cooper earned six points via fall. During the same duals match the Panthers wrestlers took on Southeast Valley, Gowrie losing by a score of 53-30. During the match the Panthers wrestlers scored five falls.

The Panthers then took part in a tournament at Treynor High School over this past weekend and came away with solid results. The Panthers placed second overall out of the 11 teams who entered in the tournament. Laine Christe placed second in the 106 pound class, Landon Kirtley placed third in the 120 pound class, Maddox Nunn placed second in the 126 pound class, Will Knapp placed third in the 132 pound class, Cayden Van Meer placed second in the 145 pound class, Keyton Van Gundy placed second in the 182 pound class, Cooper Anderson was the champion in the 220 pound class and Joel Cooper placed third in the HWT class.

For the Panthers wrestlers their season will continue tomorrow when they hit the mats in Stuart beginning at 5:30 p.m. for a duals match.
