Most people are dreaming of warmer weather and Adel Parks and Recreation is getting a jump start on its youth baseball and softball registration. 

Adel Parks and Recreation has several youth spring baseball and softball leagues, with age ranges including t ball for 5 and 6-year-olds, rookie for 7 and 8-year-olds, minor for 9 and 10-year-olds and major for 11 and 12-year-olds.

Baseball games will usually be played at the Little League Complex and softball will be at the Youth Softball Complex at Kinnick-Feller Park in Adel. Games will be played on different days throughout the week depending on the age group, and all games will begin at 6 p.m. 

The cost to participate in any of the leagues is $85 except for t ball which is $70 and registration is now open. More information on when the leagues begin can be found online.
