For the winter months warming up your vehicle is good but also can cause some damages.

According to Driversed, warming up a vehicle for 30 seconds or more can be beneficial and reduce wear on the vehicle’s engine. Emergency Management Coordinator of Adair and Guthrie Counties Bob Kempf says there are mistakes that come with warming up a vehicle.

And one thing you do not want to do  is warm that vehicle up, especially inside an attached garage, because that can put (out) carbon monoxide and into the home.

If people are exposed to carbon monoxide gas, the molecules will displace the oxygen in their bodies and lead to poisoning.
