A historic opera house is having a tribute band perform later this week.

The Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield will host the Roy Orbison Tribute Band who will play Orbison’s songs from the 1950’s and 60’s . Lead Singer David K tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this is the first time his band will play in Greenfield.

Well, we’ve been so blessed to play at so many very fun, really beautiful little venues and the images of photos on the website looked as gorgeous as the Warren Cultural Center. So we’re honored whenever we roll into the town and play.

K describes the reason for doing an Orbison tribute band is because he has the voice to hit the high notes like Orbison and his history is so good.

“So he was a good guy, and had this a great faithful story. Very, very interesting. So it’s very easy to love doing this and the songs are so good.”

Admission at the door is $25 for adults and free for students on March 19th. The opera house will require spectators to wear a mask inside the theater.
