
The West Central Valley girls track and field team had a fairly impressive showing at the Earlham Early Bird meet last night, with several girls placing in the top three of their events. Of the 17 events, the Wildcats had a top 3 placement in 13. Most impressive were the multiple medal placings of Junior, Taitlin Koch, Sophomore, Chasey Rowan, Junior Tasha Williams, and Junior Kinsey Alt.
Koch placed in the high jump, with a jump of 4ft 4in, and the 800m run, with a time of 2 minutes and 50.24 seconds.
Rowan placed in the 1500m run with a time of 5 minutes and 45.24 seconds, and placed in the 3000m run with a time of 12 minutes and 55.24 seconds.
Williams placed in the 100m dash with a time of 13.24 seconds, and in the 200m dash with a time of 28.74 seconds.
Alt lead the way for the team on the field, with three medals of her own. She placed in the long jump, with a distance of 16ft 4in, the shot put with a distance of 28ft, and the discus with a distance of 90ft 9in.
