The Adair Sesquicentennial Celebration will continue today with a full slate of fun activities.
The day will start with a good shepherd youth bake mission trip fundraiser at Exchange State Bank from 11am until 3pm. Then in the afternoon there will be a chance to play old fashion games for the “day play” at Adair City Park from 1-3pm and then a quilt show will take place at the Presbyterian Church from 2-4pm.
The voting will begin for the Lindsey Dinkla Photo Contest from 3-6:30pm. Celebration committee member Pat Pettinger expects the ice cream social at 5pm in the Presbyterian to be an exciting Friday event.
“The church is having an ice cream social and that’s always very popular and we expect it to be more popular this year, its homemade ice cream and pie, you can’t beat that.”
Another event starting at 5pm is the critter crawl at the Exchange State Bank and following that there will be a kids parade on Main Street at 6pm along with a dinner fundraiser for the Adair Fire Department at the fire hall. The baby crawl will begin at 6:15pm on Main Street along with a bags tournament at 7:30pm. Finally, there will be memorial luminaries once it gets dark out.
