The Iowa high school softball season for 2022 has been completed and the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference selections in softball have been announced. Greene County has one player on the first team, another on the second unit, and two honorable mention selections. All four Rams honored are juniors.

Pitcher Emma Hoyle was named to the first team with center fielder Olivia Shannon on the second team. Left fielder Alexa Peters and catcher Emma Stream were on the honorable mention list.

The Rams were 13-13 on the season and 5-9 in conference games under the direction of head coach Tom Kennedy. This was the first time since 2016 that Ram softball did not have more losses than wins.

Hoyle fanned 230 batters in 165 innings this season. She also hit .295 with the only two home runs for the Rams this season, as well as a team high 25 runs batted in.
