Adel-Desoto-Minburn athletics will be having their first official practices of the fall today, as Tiger athletes gear up for an exciting fall of 2022 season. Football, volleyball, and boys and girls cross country will all be practicing at various times today, with all hoping to make positive impacts to the season.
Football is under the direction of Garrison Carter, who is in his 5th year at ADM. They are coming off of a 7-3 season from a year ago and were able to qualify for the state playoffs in 3A. Volleyball went 22-16 and were able to finish in the upper half of the Raccoon River Conference. Trevor Irwin will be at his first season at the helm for the Tiger volleyball program. Boys cross country was able to qualify for the state race last year where they finished 13th, and will be bringing back some key runners. The girls cross country team just missed out on a state appearance as a team, but do have Geneva Timmerman coming back, who placed 2nd in 3A runners as a junior. Josh Chapman leads the boys program and Steve Brown is in charge of the girls.
Tiger athletics will also have multiple weeks of preseason practice before their first games, with all hoping of putting in a strong season in their respective sports.
