
Friday, August 5th
3:02am: A caller requested assistance with a Suicidal Subject at 506 South Wilson Ave. The subject had left the area in his vehicle before officers arrived. He was later located and taken to ER for an Evaluation.
7:57am: Amanda Johns reported Harassing Text Messages being sent to her daughter’s cell phone by a family member. The officer is investigating.
8:32am: Roger Custer reported a possible sick fox at 1115 McDuffie Drive. The animal slipped away from the officer as he attempted to load it up for removal and ran away.
9:35am: An officer assisted a Semi driver, who broke down in the 200 Block of South Elm Street. The vehicle was removed a short time later.
9:38am: Paula Parris reported a Stray Dog in the 400 Block of East McKinley Street. The animal was picked up by the owner before the officer’s arrival.
9:55am: A Traffic Stop near Elm and 250 th Street resulted in Caitlan Rickheim of UT. Being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
12:21pm: Stephany Bickle reported she believed her young children had stolen items from Dollar General. The officer is investigating.
4:57pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and 220th Street resulted in William Griffin of Rippey being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
7:42pm: Dispatch received an Abandoned 911 Call from the Jefferson Airport. The officer located a group of subjects awaiting a plane to fly them home and advised it was an Accidental Misdial.
8:48pm: Officers assisted an Iowa State Patrol Trooper with a Traffic Stop near 220th and Elm Street.
11:27pm: A caller advised of Loud Music in the 300 Block of South Grimmell Road. The officers did not locate anything in the area.
Saturday, August 6th
3:13am: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 401 North Cedar Street.
8:15am: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Jeff Rudolph Jr. of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed and Fail to Maintain Registration Plate.”
9:45am: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Mary Gibb of Ft. Dodge being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
1:48pm: Coleman Marlow reported he had fallen victim to a Scam Phone Call. He had provided the caller with some personal information before he became suspicious. The officer advised Marlow to inform his bank and watch his accounts closely.
2:19pm: Tabitha Choul advised her Face Book Messenger had quit working. She called a number to correct the issues and gave the caller access to her device. She later discovered missing funds from her bank account.
3:03pm: Judy Tuhn reported she lost her wallet and the last place she had been was 104 North Locust Street. The wallet was located in a shopping cart and returned to Tuhn.
3:30pm: Dollar General advised they had located another wallet at 104 North Locust Street and it had not been claimed by the owner. The officer returned the wallet to a Jefferson resident.
6:40pm: Hannah Peterson reported catching a Stray Dog at Elm and Vest Streets. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding facility.
11:10pm: Carroll County reported a vehicle traveling east on 220th Street, without working trailer lights. The officers did not locate the vehicle come through Jefferson.
Sunday, August 7th
2:18am: Colton Mobley reported he believed subjects were on their way to his residence at 502 East Clark Street to shoot him. The officer investigated the event and did not feel there was an imminent threat. He advised Mobley to call police if anything else developed.
3:50am: A Traffic Stop in the 1000 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted in Austin Owens of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
4:06am: An officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street and secured the building.
5:09pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.
10:47am: A Traffic Stop in the 1300 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Bart Crouse of Dallas Center being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
2:18pm: An officer assisted a motorist with Mechanical Issues in the 1700 Block of Westwood Drive.
