The Dallas County Public Health Department recently started its Community Health Speaker Series earlier this month as an in-person program to reconnect and learn.
DCPH Informational Officer Ann Cochran says the program is a quarterly series that is for anyone interested in learning more about services and resources to support health and well-being in the county. She says the first speaker included a volunteer from Seniors Health Insurance Program (SHIIP) that discussed choosing the best plan for people on medicare for their needs.
“Part of each of these meetings includes a time to network and have conversations with others and trade ideas about helping residents of Dallas County maintain and improve their health so it’s open to anyone.”
Cochran says the next quarterly program will be on March 2nd, 2023 and for anyone looking to pre-register contact the Dallas County Public Health Department and ask for Abigail Chihak.
