The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council heard an update from the City Compliance Officer Wes Clark. Clark said that there were no notices handed out at this time, only verbal warnings at this time. Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright also made a presentation to the Council. He came forth with a proposal to renew the 28-E Agreement between the sheriff’s office and the city. The Council took no action at this time to look over the information that Sheriff Arganbright presented. This agreement allows the sheriff’s office to act as the police force for the city.

The Council also approved billing grant costs for a housing rehabilitation program with Region XII Council of Governments, and set a public hearing on maximum property tax levy for the 2024 Fiscal Year for February 13th at 6:30pm.
