Online bidding for a silent auction is currently underway for one Greene County non-profit organization.
The Bringing Optimism and Opportunities to Students and Teachers (BOOST) is hosting its annual BOOST Bash fundraiser on Saturday, but online bidding for the silent auction is going on now. BOOST Board member Matt Wetrich encourages everyone to sign up and bid on a lot of items.
“And we have a lot of neat stuff this year, some new stuff, (and) some unique things. And that silent auction will then close in the middle of the BOOST Bash. You can participate anytime (and) anywhere. It’s a very similar setup to, if you’ve ever done Ebay bidding, and you can set like what you’re highest mark is, and it’ll let you know if somebody out bids you. It’ll just keep outbidding everybody until it gets to your mark. You just do it from your phone.”
Wetrich adds this is another way to reach even more people, especially those who can’t make it to the fundraiser event on Saturday. In five years, BOOST has raised over $300,000 in support of the Greene County School District staff and students.
The online bidding will close at 8pm on Saturday. Wetrich says it is free to register and to sign up, click here.
