Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Monthei, age 88, will be held at 10:30am Friday, May 5, 2023 at First United Methodist Church, Jefferson, Iowa.  Interment will be in the Franklin Township Cemetery near Cooper, IA.

The family will greet friends Thursday, May 4, from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home, Jefferson, Iowa.

Bob is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marilyn; sister, Sally (Harlow) Grimes; daughter, Diane Love; sons: Randy (Virgene) Monthei, and Roger (Stacey) Monthei; four grandchildren: Angie (Rex) Monthei-Meylor, Ryan Monthei, Jesse Monthei, and McKayla Hegland; eight great-grandchildren: Tegan, Kayleb, and Mason Monthei, Lucy, Dorothy, and Monty Meylor, Quincy Monthei, and Rae Hegland.
