A local business teamed up with the Food Bank of Iowa to provide financial assistance for two programs that fight food insecurity. 

Osmundson Manufacturing Company in Perry recently committed three years of $17,500 to be split between the School Food Pantry Program and the Backpack Program for the Perry and Greene County Community School District. The School Food Pantry Program provides free and wholesome food in a location that’s comfortable and convenient for kids and their families while the Backpack Program bridges the gap between week and weekend meals. Staff members from these schools will help run their respective pantry so students’ needs can be anticipated by those who know them.
