A Stuart woman recently won money from a scratch ticket game from the Iowa Lottery.

Rachel Johnson won $10,000 from the “Money Bag Doubler” scratch ticket game. She purchased the winning ticket from Casey’s General Store on Division Street in Stuart. The game is a $2 scratch game, with one of the five top prizes being the $10,000 that Johnson won, and she collected her winnings September 20th.

Since the Iowa Lottery started in 1985, more than $5.5 billion in prizes has been won, and raised over $2.3 billion for different state programs, which help support Iowa veterans, police officers, firefighters and correctional officers who die in the line of duty, and several other projects.
