Thursday, April 11th

8:25am: A caller advised of a Stray Dog in the 1100 Block of McDuffie Drive. As the officer was loading the animal in the car, the owner arrived. The officer sent the animal home with a Verbal Warning.

12:34pm: Twyla Lindsey requested an officer to remove paraphernalia items she had located at 201 East Perry Street. The officer took the items to be destroyed.

2:27pm: A caller advised of a Stray Dog near Cedar and Garfield Streets. The officer did not locate the animal.

5:02pm: Anna Pound reported receiving a Scam Phone Call. They were attempting to get her to say “Yes” during the call. She ended the call.

8:03pm: Polly Kinsey reported juveniles messing with the sign at 801 West Lincoln Way Street. The juveniles had left the area before the officer’s arrival.

9:39pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. The building was secure.

Friday, April 12th

8:03am: Demedrious Lyons requested an officer at 403 West Madison Street. The officer arrived and learned of a Civil Issue concerning rent, food, and other items with a roommate. The officer worked to diffuse the situation, while Lyons packed up to move out.

8:56am: Alayna Rosenow reported possible Harassment on Tic Tok. The officer advised there is no way to determine who is responsible for the posts and advised her to report it to Tic Tok.

11:37am: Carolyn Pauley reported a Suspicious Vehicle in the 700 Block of South Locust Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

11:44am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

1:08pm: A caller advised of a subject lying in the ditch in the 900 Block of North Walnut Street. The officer spoke to subjects in the area, but did not locate anyone needing assistance.

9:23pm: Fast and Fresh requested an officer at 106 West Washington Street for a vehicle blocking the gas pumps. The officer arrived and requested the driver to move from the area, which they did.

Saturday, April 13th

4:38am: An officer assisted a deputy on a Traffic Stop in the 200 Block of Gallup Road.

9:25am: Hy Vee reported a Shoplifting event, which had occurred on 04/10/2024. A female subject had not scanned all items in her cart and left without paying for $21.00 in items. The store was interested in pursuing criminal charges, but wished for the subject to be Banned from the business. The officer located the female and Banned her from returning to the property.

12:46pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of Westwood resulted in Brittany Cook of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:09pm: A Traffic Stop near Madison and Wilson resulted in Carrie Sheehy of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

1:38pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a dog in the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street. The animal checked on the animal and determined it was fine.

1:50pm: The Wild Rose reported a disoriented female walking around the parking lot at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer made contact with the subject in the parking lot. Jane Frances Ham,75 of Boone was arrested and charged with, “Public Intoxication – Simple.”

3:01pm: A caller advised a vehicle had failed to stop at the posted stop sign at 220th and Elm Streets. The vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly heading south on Elm. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

8:32pm: Lewis Pierson requested an officer at 408 South Cedar Street for an Unwanted Female being present. The officer arrived as the subject loaded her vehicle and left the residence.

10:00pm: A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Dalton Murphy of Ames being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:55pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of East Vest Street.

Sunday, April 14th

12:42am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.

8:38am: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 block of Westwood resulted in Crystal St Clair of Bayard being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:30am: An officer removed debris from the road in the 200 Block of North Elm Street.

12:27pm: An officer assisted a motorist experiencing mechanical issues with a motorcycle near 220th and Mulberry Streets.

3:21pm: Christine Louk caught a Stray Cat at 104 West Wilcoxway. The cat was placed in the Animal Holding Facility.

6:06pm: An officer investigated an accident in the 1200 Block of North Elm. A 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, owned and operated by Michelle Madsen of Jefferson, was northbound on Elm in the outside lane. A 2000 Harley Davidson, owned by Patrick Henderson and operated by Caleb Henderson of Carroll, was also northbound on Elm, but in the inside lane. Henderson attempted to make a right turn into Fareway in front of the Madsen vehicle. He struck the left front corner of the Madsen vehicle. The Madsen vehicle had a reported $750.00 in damages, while the Henderson bike had a reported $300.00 in damages. Henderson was cited for, “Turning from Improper Lane.”

6:56pm: Jane Waldo reported a Stray Cat had attacked her dog at 504 East Clark Street. The officer offered her a live trap to attempt to catch the animal.

7:20pm: Patrick Graham reported catching a Stray Dog in the 200 Block of West Gallop Road. The dog was placed in the Animal Holding Facility.

9:02pm: A caller reported an Open Burning taking place in the 300 Block of East Vest Street. The officer did not locate the burn.
