Several members from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Cross Country team ran well in Harlan to secure a spot for the state meet.
The Tigers ran at the Harlan Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, where Freshman Elliotte Von Roden punched her ticket to the state meet, as well as the boys team. Von Roden captured 15th place overall with a time of 20:36 in the 5K. She has been a consistent top runner for ADM throughout the season, placing first on the team for majority of the meets.
The Tigers boys snagged a second place finish, scoring 53 points, behind the leading Grinnell Tigers who notched 50 points. ADM boys have now qualified for state for the fifth straight year.
