The Perry football season will end tonight regardless of the outcome in Creston. The Bluejays take on the Panthers for week 9 of the season. Perry comes into the final game 2-6 and losers of their last 5. Creston still has a shot to make the playoffs at their current record of 3-5 as they are 3-1 in District 6 in 3A. The Bluejays have dropped all four of their district games this season. Creston will need to defeat Perry to get in and they would need some help in either the Nevada vs Atlantic game or Knoxville vs Harlan.
The Bluejays are coming off a 35-6 loss to Knoxville last Friday. The first half woes have continued for Perry as they haven’t scored in the first half during this losing skid. Creston is also coming off a loss. Nevada beat the Panthers 49-28. Creston boasts one of the top RB’s in 3A, Weston Trapp. He leads 3A in rushing and all purpose yards. The senior has also accounted for 19 TD’s. The Perry run defense will have their hands full tonight.
Tune in to the final game tonight on KDLS and the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network at 6:00P for the Perry Hy-Vee Pregame Show and 7:00P kickoff.
