A reminder that with today being Thanksgiving, there are several offices and businesses that are not only closed for today but also tomorrow in Greene County.

The Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, the Jefferson Public Library, and the Greene County Extension Office are closed today and tomorrow. The Greene County and Paton-Churdan School Districts are on break now and will resume classes on December 2nd.

Library patrons are reminded that nothing is due when the library is closed for a holiday. Jefferson Finance Officer Sarah Morlan tells Raccoon Valley Radio that because garbage and recycling are collected Monday through Wednesday, the Thanksgiving holiday does not impact those routes.
