Tonight’s PM Sports Magazine KG98 Edition features athletes from professional baseball and college track & field. The program begins at 6 o’clock with an interview with former Iowa Hawkeyes pitcher and current Toronto Blue Jays farmhand Trenton Wallace. Next up will be 2020 Greene County High School graduate Carter Morton, a U. of Northern Iowa track & field standout in the multi-events, which are the heptathlon indoors and the decathlon outdoors.

Wallace, a Rock Island, IL native, was in Greene County recently with his girlfriend and Greene County graduate Taylor Wessling. A 2021 13th round draft choice by Toronto, he ended the 2024 season at the highest level of the minor leagues, AAA, with Buffalo.

Morton, from Jefferson, won the heptathlon in Ames at the Iowa State University Holiday Invitational earlier this month, and has his sights set high for this indoor season while competing for the Panthers.
