The leader of the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Golf Team discusses the great group of seniors that will help encourage the rest of the team.

ADM Boys Golf Coach Nolan Gitch acknowledges that it’s always hard losing seniors, especially with last year’s team who won the Class 3A Title. He admits that graduate Easton Korrell led the team in most of the meets in 2024, and although replacing him will be tough, Gitch is confident in the athletes that are returning. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that seniors Carter Madison and Grant Jansen have seen enough success to inspire the younger players.

“Their leadership is really going to carry us forward in this season, having all that experience from three-state tournament runs in their high school career so far, and actually getting the job done last year and being apart of that team.”

Aside from the upperclassmen, Gitch says there are a number of younger players that have been putting in extensive practice time in the offseason to prepare for the 2025 year. The first meet for ADM is this coming Monday as they host a triangular versus Carlisle and Winterset at the River Valley Golf Course in Adel.
