Senior Faith Recker is hungry for today’s competition as she achieved a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles while representing the Panorama Panthers girls track team at the Ogden Coed meet on Thursday. The Panther girls finished 6th overall as a team with 66 points, and Recker finished the 400 meter hurdles in fifth place. Although Recker broke her personal best time by 2.5 seconds, she has used the fifth place position to motivate herself to improve.

Head coach Greg Thompson reflected on Recker’s performance in Ogden and her new personal best time. “The exciting thing for me about that is she walked away from that race being very upset and frustrated because she only goth this (fifth) place and I said ‘but you have to look at what you’ve done to yourself.'”

The Panther girls are in action today at home as Panorama hosts the Kip Janvrin Invitational. The track action is set to being at 4:30pm.
