Last night the West Central Valley Wildcat soccer teams played host to the AHSTW Vikings. West Central Valley picked up the sweep at home, with the Lady Wildcats picked up their first victory of the season, defeating AHSTW 4-0 and the boys picking up a 8-0 victory.

In the girls contest, the Belden’s would take the lead for West Central Valley in the first half, as sophomore Ella Belden would strike first in the 23rd minute followed by Abbie Belden the senior bringing the score to 2-0 in favor of WCV. The Lady Wildcats would carry this momentum into the second half, scoring back to back goals within one minute as junior Macy Long would score in the 59th minute followed by senior Jenna Doyle scoring immediately after in the 60th minute to secure a 4-0 victory for the Wildcats.

For the boys, West Central Valley would strike first and fast, scoring the first two goals within one minute of each other. Junior Aiden Brandon would score in the 18th minute followed by junior Trajan Rummel in the 19th minute. Diaz, Brummley, and Wolfe would also score in the first half, bringing the score to 5-0 in favor of WCV. Rummel, Wolfe, and Brandon would score again in the second half, to bring the score final score to 8-0.

The Lady Wildcats pick up their first victory of the season advancing to 1-2 while the Wildcat boys keep their winning streak alive at 3-0. WCV soccer is back in action at home on Thursday as they play host to the Underwood Eagles.
