
Coach Heath Telleen’s Greene County High School girls’ golf team played in a Class 3A Regional Tournament on Wednesday in Storm Lake. The Rams shot 440 for the 18 holes on the Buena Vista Golf Course and finished tenth among 12 teams. MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City) won the event with 328 strokes, followed by Sioux Center 362, Clear Lake 363, Spencer 396, Storm Lake 410, Sergeant Bluff-Luton 411, Le Mars 421, Denison-Schleswig 423, Biship Heela (Sioux City) 424, Greene County 440, Humboldt 453, and Webster City 505.
Leading Greene County’s team was led by Taylor Johnston at 104, followed by Maya Telleen 108, Alivia Cornell 111, and Calleigh Fitzpatrick 117. All four are juniors.
The season has concluded and Coach Telleen told Raccoon Valley Radio this was one of the better girls’ golf seasons in recent years for the Rams.
