Gabriel Beato drove in three runs with three hits as Perry claimed their first win of the season over Grand View Christian on Monday at Progressive Field 15-7.

As heard last night on KDLS, Perry used a ten run first inning to top Heart of Iowa Conference Newcomer.  The Bluejays sent 15 hitters to the dish in the inning as Geren Kenney and Reid Iben each had two hits.  Perry led 10-1 after the first stanza.  GVC battled to scratch across runs, but never got closer than five runs.

Iben and Gabriel Beato each finished the night with three hits.  Owen Myers finished with three RBI’s and a triple.

Iben earned the win.  The freshman went three innings.  He collected 4 K’s, three runs, with two hits, five walks, and two HBP.

Titus Jordan took the loss as the sophomore got chased in the first.

Perry improves to 1-10 (1-5) and will travel to Prairie City-Monroe tonight for another conference match up.
