The Perry Parks and Recreation Department has a couple of summer programs happening soon.

The organization is now registering for the fall Soccer 10 and under through 14 and under leagues, starting in September. Perry Parks and Rec notes that games are set to be played on Saturdays and Sundays from September 6th through November 2nd. The registration is currently open until Saturday, July 19th at midnight.

Also, Recreation Coordinator Marco Perla confirms that the 2nd Summer Crafts for children in kindergarten through fifth grade is being pushed back to July 14th-17th. He shares that the purpose of the summer crafts is to give children who aren’t interested in sports opportunities to be active in a more craft-based environment. 

Perla describes that participants will have instructors with pre-planned crafts, but will be given the freedom to design them with their own style. The crafts will be happening at the McCreary Community Building, 1800 Pattee Street, in Perry.
