Perry Cross Country continues to prepare for their first meet tomorrow in Gowrie. Nathan Krohn, Perry Coed Head Coach, promotes the sport as a great option to stay in shape for other sports throughout the year.
“If you’re not really sure what you want to do in the fall it’s a great sport to come out and try because it really helps you just training yourself for multiple other sports. I’ve got several boys that are in wrestling or basketball and are just out just to get themselves in shape for the upcoming winter season. I’m hoping that some of our soccer boys can kind of get that message.”
The Jayettes are struggling with just Lily Myers on the club. The junior is coming off a State Meet appearance in 2024. The Bluejays have about ten on the roster with just one senior Thad Stewart. Coach Krohn will be relying on multiple underclassmen on the boy’s side.
