Junior Gavin Drake found success in Granger yesterday as the Mustang boys golf team placed third overall at the Johnston Invitational. Drake would lead the charge for the Mustangs, tying for second place with a score of 71 strokes, shooting 1 under par.

Combining the total scores for all of the DCG golfers, the Mustangs would end the contest in third place overall, with Drake shooting for 71 strokes. Fellow juniors Avery Van Zelderen and Jackson Zeller would also find success shooting for 75 and 76 strokes respectively while sophomore Chase Perrin would end the night shooting for 77 strokes.

Working past the windy conditions on the course yesterday, Mustang golf returns to action today, traveling to the Legacy Golf Course in Norwalk for the Northwest Invitational.
