The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball Team is looking to capture win number 15 in their 20th match of the season, as Raccoon River Conference foe North Polk travels into Adel tonight.
The Tigers have won 14 of their first 19 games (14-5) as their only losses are to Norwalk (twice), Nevada, Dallas Center-Grimes, and Waukee Northwest. Senior Elise Coglan leads ADM with 301 assists with senior Anna Holloway in front with 144 kills.
Defensively, sophomore Ella Subbert has the most blocks at 33, with senior Paige Krantz in second on the team with 16. It’s always Homecoming Week for ADM, but Head Coach Trevor Irwin knows the girls will be focused on tonight’s match.
“We’ll be locked in and loaded for our North Polk game just like they always are, so I’m pretty confident in that. If I had a game maybe on Thursday, I might be thinking on strategy, but I think right now we’re sitting pretty nice.”
The Tigers are 2-0 in conference this season with victories over Gilbert and Carroll. Since 2020, ADM and North Polk are tied at three wins apiece prior to tonight’s game. The theme is Youth Night from Adel, as the match gets underway at 7:15pm from the north gym.
