Younger hunters in Iowa are reminded that a  deer season ends this weekend.Iowa Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer for Dallas County Dustin Eighmy shares that the Youth Deer Season is currently underway and notes that with recent changes within the Iowa legislature, youth deer tags are now able to be purchased during any deer season. He expresses that it serves as a great opportunity for younger or inexperienced hunters to get some practice.

“We want those youth to be out there and be successful, and get them interested in this great sport.”

The Youth Deer Hunting Season started on September 20th and ends on Sunday.
