Greene County ISU Extension is hosting several commercial pesticide applicator trainings.

Extension Director Jeff Lamoureux says Ornamental and Turfgrass Pest Control is for those individuals needing a Continuing Instructional Course for categories 3O, 3T and 3OT for commercial pesticide applicators. He states that the class will be held this coming Wednesday from 9-11:30am at the Extension Office. 

Lamoureux points out that the following Wednesday, November 19th also from 9-11:30am will be the Ag Pest Control training for categories 1A, 1B and 1C commercial pesticide applicators. 

He notes that if there are interested individuals who can’t make those scheduled dates and times work, there might be an alternative with Office Coordinator Cindy Adamson.

“You can call Cindy and see if she’s available to do a re-show. The number again is (515) 386-2138, give Cindy a call and see if she can work that into her schedule. But, it’s best if you can just come at one of these times and get your certification.”

Lamoureux adds that the registration fee for each class is $45 before the day of those courses, otherwise it will be $60 the day of and walk-ins are not guaranteed to have a spot. Contact the Extension Office in Jefferson at 515-386-2138 or by clicking here.
