With Veterans Day on Tuesday, the Adel City Council will meet in regular session on Monday.

During the meeting, the council will hold four public hearings. One will be for an ordinance to amend the timeline for published notice related to zoning matters and to add a practical difficulties variance standard. The next will be on the matter of extending the lease for real property to Sprint Spectrum Realty Company LLC. 

The third will be for the matter of granting a Private Storm Sewer Easement to Impakt Real Estate LLC, and the final one will be for an ordinance vacating a Public Utility Easement located in a part of Lots 9 and 10 for the Southbridge Plat 3 Re-Platted. Following the hearings, all four will be up for approval for the council.

Other items on the agenda seeking approval include a resolution to accept the Northwater Preliminary Plat 3, a final pay application for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Lab and Administration Building, resolutions to accept the Tax Increment Finance Indebtedness Certification for the Adel Urban Renewal Area and Southbridge for fiscal year 2027, and appointing a member to the Adel Parks and Recreation Board.

The council will have separate conversations about a petition for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a concrete and landscaping business, options to assist residents during the Federal Government Shutdown and lack of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Benefits, and a real estate donation agreement with the Nature Conservancy.

The meeting is open to the public and is taking place at Adel City Hall, 301 S. 10th Street, on Monday at 6pm.
