The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday night.

The Council will discuss the approval of an appointment to fill a vacant position left by David Doely, then hear from Wiley Chumos of 308 North Main Street, before considering for approval the liquidated damages regarding the Wambold 3rd Addition. They will also hold a public hearing on a proposed development agreement with Doely Holdings, LLC, before considering the proposal.

The Council will then consider for approval the 2026 Street Improvement project, 2025 Tax Increment Finance (TIF) certificate, and the annual financial report for the year ending June 30th. The items left on the agenda include setting a date for a public hearing regarding a proposal to enter into a general obligation corporate purpose loan agreement for an amount not to exceed $1.325 million, then consideration for approval of a tentative settlement agreement with the rescue department, and a presentation from Economic Development Director Matt Funk.
