Tonight is the final fall play performance at the Greene County High School auditorium.

Co-Director Darren Jackson says the 30-minute one act play, “An Experiment” \ by Brent Holland is set in a fantasy world where five participants wake up with no memory of their past selves and they are instructed that they are part of a research study. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that once the experiment begins, the participants figure out that to lose is to die.

Senior Leah McCormick is the other co-director for the play and talks about being able to be involved in a different kind of position

“So I really wanted to be involved with the fall play, mostly because I really like doing the acting stuff. I just like being in a part of some school activities. It’d been a while for me, but I wanted to jump back in for my senior year and just, you know, make some memories. We have a good cast, so I’m really glad to be here again.”

Senior Ella Ostrander plays one of the characters, “Orderly,”  who follows directions all the time to avoid getting into trouble. She explains why she wanted to take part in her final fall play.

“I kind of took on a role as co-director which to me was pretty cool and convenient, because I’ve got these things going on like cross country and all those things. So I wasn’t able to make it to as many practices. So I kind of didn’t have that guilt of missing or that anxiety of ‘Ph, I need to memorize my lines and all this.’ But still being able to take a part in the play and it’s really cool to see how these clubs and plays and things are becoming more student run as time goes on.”

Showtime is 7pm in the high school auditorium and while there is no admission charge, free-will donations will be accepted.
