Perry High School had their fall play postponed and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) had their debut performance last night, with an encore show in store this evening.

Perry Drama Director Randy Peterson says that after careful consideration of their production “She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition”, they have decided to postpone their show to this coming Friday and Saturday, November 14th and 15th.

According to ADM Drama Director Molly Longman, their fall musical “James and the Giant Peach,” from Roald Dahl, follows the protagonist of an orphan boy James, looking for his home, but is thrust into a wild adventure with magical creatures. Sophomore Will Truitt is portraying James and expresses that he’s been training his voice to speak a little differently.

“I have been trying to work on a little boy British accent lately. And it’s kind of hard, the accent slips out sometimes. You just have to know your background and be sad most of the time, but then throughout the musical, you get happier and happier.”

Longman prefers people to buy tickets online, since it is reserved seating, but does confirm that tickets will also be available at the door, either by check or cash, for $6 for students and staff, then $10 for adults. She adds that there will be a show tonight at 7pm or a matinee tomorrow at 2pm inside the high school auditorium. To find the link to purchase tickets, click here.
