Ava Hinote, the Greene County High School freshman swimming for Carroll High School under an athletic sharing agreement, is on two relays that have tentatively qualified for the State Meet Thursday and Friday in Iowa City. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Association notes all qualifiers are tentative until heat and lane assignments are released.

Hinote swam the second leg on the 200 yard freestyle relay and she led off the 400 freestyle relay. The shorter of the two relays sits 24th among the 32 qualifiers and the longer relay qualified 29th in a 32 team field. Carroll had two freshmen and two sophomores on the two relays Hinote was on.
