A former football player for Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School is making a huge impact in college, as he had a game-changing moment in Iowa State University’s win on Saturday.

ISU had a furious comeback against Texas Christian University in the fourth quarter for the go-ahead 20-17 score. After the Cyclones initially scored the opening touchdown to lead 6-0, the Horned Frogs racked off 17 unanswered points, to take a 17-6 advantage into the final frame. ISU cut the deficit to five when Running Back Carson Hansen converted a 1-yard touchdown run to make it 17-12.

After a defensive stop, TCU punted the ball away to ISU’s Redshirt Freshman Aiden Flora, who was a former Quarterback for ADM, and he broke away with his speed for 79-yards to give the Cyclones a 20-17 advantage, which would go on to be the final score. ISU, who began the season strong, has dealt with injuries in the secondary, but was able to notch a massive Big-12 victory, improving to 6-4 on the year.

The Cyclones will now enter their bye week before returning to Jack Trice Stadium on November 22nd to host the Kansas Jayhawks.
