The new high school basketball season is rapidly approaching and the first day of practice for boys basketball in the state of Iowa will be Monday. Perry will look to build off the momentum of last year as the Bluejays lock in on another successful season. Gustavo Drahos will be shouldered with a lot of the offensive load after key graduations to several scorers. Jacob Cerna will also see his role expanded after showcasing his skills as one of the top defenders in the Heart of Iowa. David Morris returns for Perry and will be assisted by Nathan Khrone. Khrone moves up from the middle school position to fill the vacancy left by Jason Lutterman. Perry will play in their first jamboree a week from Monday.
