The Adel Public Library is having an educational program centered around a historical event today.

According to Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz, the library is inviting participants to learn more about the Holocaust. She outlines that the program is being led by Iowa native Brad Wilkening, who furthered his knowledge at Columbia University in New York. 

Schwarz indicates that Wilkening will be presenting on how to better understand the Holocaust, the history of it and some survival stories as well. She notes that the program is geared towards adults over the age of 19 and is taking place inside the Adel Public Library today from 1-3pm. Schwarz adds that there is no cost for the program.
