The Panorama School Board met in regular session Monday night.

Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that they began the meeting with some good news from around the district, including that some middle school students participated in the Middle School Honor Band, along with an update on how the fall play went. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that some student led organizations got to take an opportunity to learn as well.

“We’re putting a focus on leadership this year as a district for one of our focus areas. And our middle school and high school student councils went to a leadership conference in Ames and they got to learn about what leadership’s all about and how you truly lead when you’re not a natural leader. So that was a good experience for those students as well.”

Huebner mentions that the Board approved the Panorama Emergency Guide, the sale of a 2008 Bluebird Vision school bus, and members for the School Improvement Advisory Committee. He adds that the school is also preparing for the winter sports season, and that everyone is excited for it.
