After the opening show on Friday, Perry High School will have another performance tonight for their fall play.

Drama Director Randy Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio that everyone is welcome to watch their version of “She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition,” as he reveals the story revolves around two sisters, but following one’s death, the other sibling learns more about her through a Dungeons and Dragons adventure. Senior Levi Thoren portrays the former Demon Overlord Orcus, and elaborates how he’s been practicing for his role.

“Me and Mr. (Randy) Peterson kind of had the envision of making him very high energy and flamboyant because he’s supposed to be the comedic aspect of the role, and so it was fun to try and get into that.”

Senior Seth Borgeson, who’s playing Chuck Biggs, says he’s enjoying all the activity happening on the stage.

“I think the most unique part about this show that I’m most interested in seeing is all the fight choreography that happens, as the main characters kill monsters.”

Peterson highlights that the show is open to people of all ages, with tickets available at the door for $8 for adults and $6 for children or students. He mentions the final showing will take place tonight at 7pm from the Perry Performing Arts Center.
