Two students at Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School were named as members for the All-State Music Festival, with a third named alternative.
Tenor I Carter Dinkla and Alto I Natalie Dinkla will both be participating at the festival tomorrow night, after having traveled up to Ames yesterday to be there for the day long practices today, and morning practice tomorrow. Carter shares what it means to be able to participate in the festival.
“I am very grateful for everyone around me and my choir director because I couldn’t do it without my team supporting me through and through.”
Natalie also shares her excitement about making it to Ames.
“It was a good experience. This year was definitely better than the past two years. I think I was more confident and I just had a lot of fun this year.”
Bass II Rhonin Grasty was named as an alternative for his section, giving him the chance to participate should there be some others from his section that are unable to attend. The festival concert will be held tomorrow night at 7pm at Hilton Coliseum.
