The DCG Mustangs boys basketball team welcomes the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays into the Meadows Main Gym tonight in a scrimmage to prepare for the upcoming season.
Head coach Joel Rankin and his team will see how they compete against a school wearing a different color for the first time this fall. After a week plus of official practice, this squad is ready to get after a different group of guys. Even though stats don’t count, each rep is important to run plays, to test mental strength, and to see how your squad plays basketball through adversity.
For Joel Rankin, this is a great opportunity to really feel out this team for the first time. This group of players has never played together before, so getting them all into a gameday routine is a new experience for everyone involved. With the season beginning with the new month on December 2nd, these players will have to wait eight days before they play for real.
