Panorama Girls Basketball Head Coach Randy Miller believes the two scrimmages the team has had will be beneficial down the road during the upcoming season.

Miller explains that the Panthers participated in two scrimmages, with the first one in Atlantic on November 15th, then battled Greene County this past Saturday. He specifically points to the Atlantic Tournament that Panorama took on Carroll, who had size, but he says that it was a good test for the girls, especially for the underclassmen.

“Eight of them are freshmen, so it was good for them to go up and see the physicality that they’re going to have to play with. And so, I think that really helped us when we played Greene County. I had three freshmen that started for that one, but they get the nerves out, get them working, get them trying to show what they can do and mix in with some of our older players.”

The Panthers will practice until Thanksgiving and then gear up to begin their season this coming Tuesday in Panora welcoming in the Woodward-Granger Hawks.
