Perry wrestling travels together today, with both teams traveling to Saydel High School in Des Moines. The Jayettes will face off against three other teams in quadrangular action while the Bluejays look at two other teams in triangular action with both meets beginning at 5:30pm.

The Erickson sisters currently lead the charge for the Jayettes, with senior captain Ayden Erickson being named wrestler of the week for the Jayettes, entering the Saydel Quad with an 11-2 record. Junior Cate Erickson remains undefeated, sitting at 14-0 so far this season. For the boys, junior Jesus Cerna leads the charge for the Bluejays with a 3-0 record in the 120 weight class. Freshman Hayden Splendore is finding success as well in his rookie season with Perry, entering the Saydel triangular with a 4-2 record.
