There are a few more days left for the Friends of the Jefferson Library December fundraiser.
Library Director Jane Millard says there are tables in the Adult and Youth Services Departments with items for everyone, including age-appropriate books, music CDs, audiobooks, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles and board games. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that all of the items make for great presents at a very affordable price.
Millard talks about a special bonus treat that people can receive when they buy something during the fundraiser.
“The Friends of the (Jefferson) Library tried something new this year, they prepared some gift bags with surprise books in them. They give you a little clue of what’s in the bag, but it’s already gift wrapped for you, you can just put it under the tree.”
Millard adds the proceeds benefit the Friends organization, which they help with providing funds for equipment and other programs and materials that the library needs.
