The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has some of their fun regular events coming up.

Director Jerri Hawkins says that one favorite of patrons is the meeting of the cookbook club. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they do for the event.

“What they do is they come to the library prior to that day, pick out a recipe that they would like out of the featured cookbook and then they bring that recipe to that meeting and they get to taste all the other recipes that are selected from that cookbook.”

Hawkins mentions that this is a great opportunity for people to get together and try new recipes on the third Thursday of each month. She adds that the meeting will be on January 15th, beginning at 6:30pm
