
The AC/GC Charger boys basketball seniors were a major part in leading the team this past season.
Tommy Skram started all 20 of the games he played in, and went 35.6 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from beyond the arch, and 63.3 percent from the charity stripe. He also collected a total of 52 rebounds, breaking down to 20 offensive and 32 defensive. Skram’s stats also include 65 assists, 69 steals, one block, a 1.1 assist to turnover ratio with 327 points. He was also given a 1.04 on the value point system (VPS), a statistic used by coaches to evaluate performance beyond scoring, and a way to measure how efficiently a player impacts the game.
Joe Crawford also started all 20 games he played in, going 40.2 percent from the field, 27.6 percent from beyond the arch, and 72.2 percent from the free throw line. He also recorded 76 rebounds, breaking down to 21 offensive and 55 defensive. Crawford tallied 55 assists, 32 steals, three blocks, a 0.95 assist to turnover ratio, and scored 288 points. He was also given a 1.02 VPS.
The final senior, Blaize Dorsey, started in 20 of the team’s 23 games, shooting 27.4 percent from the field, 25.6 percent from behind the three point line, and went two of two at the charity stripe. He recorded 36 rebounds, breaking down to 11 offensive and 25 defensive. Dorsey’s statistics also included 22 assists, 16 steals, a 1.1 assist to turnover ratio, and 107 points. He was given a 0.71 VPS.
